Setting up your PartnerStack integration

This guide describes the exact steps to integrate PartnerStack with Partner Partner.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This guide explains how to connect your PartnerStack account to Partner Partner so we can automatically collect, normalize, and synthesize your partner referral data in one place.

Unlike manual exports or one-off reports, the PartnerStack integration provides ongoing visibility into referral performance, transactions, rewards, and partner program structure.

What This Integration Is For

The PartnerStack integration allows Partner Partner to act as a central source of truth for your partner activity across all PartnerStack-managed programs.

Once connected, Partner Partner can periodically sync:

  • Referred shops and accounts

  • Transaction and revenue data

  • Rewards and payouts

  • Partner program structure and tiers

This data powers reporting, partner accountability, and historical performance tracking inside Partner Partner.

What Data Partner Partner Collects

With a valid PartnerStack Client API token, Partner Partner can retrieve and maintain:

Accounts & Referrals

  • Shops referred by your agency

  • Referral assignment status

  • Partner ownership and attribution

Transactions & Deals

  • Transaction amounts

  • Conversion timing

  • Revenue associated with referrals

  • Status changes over time

Rewards & Payouts

  • Rewards earned by your agency

  • Reward types (one-time, recurring, etc.)

  • Payout status and historical earnings

Partner Programs

  • Partner programs your agency belongs to

  • Program structure and tiers

  • Commission rules and reward definitions (where available)

All of this data is normalized into Partner Partner’s internal data model so it can be connected to:

  • Accounts

  • Contacts

  • Leads

  • Deals

  • Referrals

  • Billing and payout records

What You’ll Need Before Starting

  • Admin access to your PartnerStack account

  • Permission to generate an API token

  • An agency account actively participating in PartnerStack partner programs

Step 1: Create a PartnerStack API Token

  1. Log in to PartnerStack

  2. Click your profile avatar (top right)

  3. Go to My Account

  4. Locate the API section

  5. Create a new key (we call this a token) or copy an existing one

⚠️ Keep this token secure. Anyone with this token can access your PartnerStack data.

Step 2: Add the Token to Partner Partner

  1. In Partner Partner, navigate to Integrations under the Account Settings dropdown

  2. Select PartnerStack

  3. Paste your PartnerStack API token

  4. Save

Partner Partner will validate the token and securely store it for future syncs.

How the Integration Works

Once connected:

  • Partner Partner periodically calls the PartnerStack API using your token

  • New and updated data is pulled automatically

  • Changes are incrementally synced rather than re-imported from scratch

  • Historical data remains available for reporting and analysis

No manual actions are required after setup.

What Makes This Integration Powerful

Most agencies use PartnerStack as a black box — data is spread across dashboards, CSV exports, and multiple partner programs.

Partner Partner changes that by:

  • Unifying all PartnerStack data across programs

  • Preserving historical context

  • Connecting referrals to accounts, leads, and deals

  • Making partner performance easier to analyze and act on

This integration is especially valuable if your agency:

  • Works with multiple PartnerStack-powered vendors

  • Needs to track long-term referral performance

  • Wants better insight into earned (and missed) rewards

Limitations & Notes

  • Data availability depends on what PartnerStack exposes for each partner program

  • Some partner programs may limit access to certain fields

  • Partner Partner does not modify data in PartnerStack — this is a read-only integration

  • Sync timing may vary based on API limits and account size

Summary

By connecting PartnerStack to Partner Partner, you give your agency a single, structured view of:

  • Who you’ve referred

  • What revenue those referrals generated

  • What rewards you’ve earned

  • How each partner program is structured

Once connected, Partner Partner keeps everything up to date automatically.
