Your agreement is the real source of truth for a partnership — the rate, the payout schedule, the renewal date. Uploading it is how Partner Partner learns those terms directly from the document, instead of you re-typing them somewhere else.
This article covers uploading and reviewing an agreement. What happens once you approve it — and how it turns into Receipts — is covered separately.
1. Where to Upload
Agreement upload lives on your agency's Agreements page, alongside your list of existing agreements. There's an Upload an agreement panel at the top — drag a PDF in, or click to pick one — and an Ingest agreement button to send it in.
Nothing happens instantly: processing happens after upload. Partner Partner reads the file and creates a draft agreement for you to review — it does not go live on its own.
2. What File Types We Accept
Today, upload a PDF of the signed agreement. That's the supported path end to end.
3. What Partner Partner Reads Out of the Agreement
From the document, Partner Partner pulls out the terms that matter for tracking the partnership:
Term | What it captures |
Rate | The commission or payout rate the agreement sets |
Payout cadence | How often you're paid — monthly, quarterly, annual — and the terms around it |
Effective date & term end | When the current term starts and ends |
Renewal | The renewal notice window, and whether it auto-renews |
If the agreement doesn't state something — say, it's silent on renewal terms — Partner Partner leaves that blank rather than guessing at a value. An honest "not stated" is more useful than a made-up number.
4. Reviewing What We Found
A newly uploaded agreement lands as Draft in your agreements list, alongside your Active, Expired, and Terminated ones. Open it to see the terms Partner Partner extracted — partner, commission rate, effective date, term end — before anything is acted on.
If a value was misread, you can correct it right here: the confirmed rate, effective date, and current term end are editable on the review panel before you approve. This review step exists so a misread clause or an odd extraction never quietly becomes "official." You're checking Partner Partner's read of the document, not the document itself.
5. Approving Is What Actually Turns It On
⚠️ Uploading and extracting a draft does not, by itself, activate anything. The agreement only starts driving your Partner Health picture once you approve it and it flips from Draft to Active.
For what approving does — and what it kicks off — see Approving an Agreement.
6. What the Agreement Doesn't Cover
⏳ An agreement carries the deal terms — rate, cadence, renewal — but not your partner's full program detail (tier requirements, benefits, policies). That content lives in the partner's Program Guide, which is handled as a separate upload, not read out of the agreement. So if you're missing tier or benefit detail you'd expect from a program guide, that's a difference in where it comes from — not something to troubleshoot.
